Little moments soft and warm Little moments against the storm Little moments meant to be Little moments between you and me Little moments, holding on Little moments blink and they’re gone Little moments laugh till we cry Little moments for you and I All life’s ups and life’s downs All life's smiles and all life’s frowns When I stop and look around Little moments are my only solid ground Little moments understand Little moments hold your hand Little moments all I need Little moments between you and me All life’s ups and life’s downs All life's smiles and all life’s frowns When I stop and look around Little moments are my only solid ground

Pretty Car 03:22
Pretty car hasn’t moved in weeks Finance not viable to keep Safe indoors all the people sleep Deep inside you troubles heap Beautiful moon in the sky tonight Blackbirds sing, the bats are out in flight The whole thing’s wrong but that bit’s right There’s not another single soul in sight And I know it’s not right And I know it’s not right I catch your eye and I hold your hand In the bay a lonely heron stands What will happen to our beautiful land? Do those in power really understand? For all the answers we all search What’s right for us is surely wrong for earth Through all this strife you know there is a plus This beautiful sunset seems just for us And I know it’s not right And I know it’s not right And I know it’s not right And I know it’s not right

Put your arms around the world and cool it down Put your arms around the world and cool it down Treat it like an enemy, we have done for so long Cut it down, enslave it, like we don’t care where it’s from Chuck stuff in the rivers, throw it in the sea Bury all our principles, make it about me Lie about the science if it gives me what I need Porky pies ‘bout everything just barefaced corporate greed Look how we treat each other as a guide to where we’re at Forest plants don’t stand a chance ‘gainst a society like that Put your arms around the world and cool it down Put your arms around the world and cool it down Lie lie lie about the impact that we cause Blame the cows and blame the poor, aint breaking any laws Lie about the aeroplanes and lie about the cars We don’t care if the impact’s there, the legacy’s not ours Put your arms around the world and cool it down Put your arms around the world and cool it down

Sometimes we’re so warm you can feel it from a mile away Sometimes we’re so cold that the chill is in the core of me Sometimes we feel that the world should really owe us more Cos It’s not fair it’s not fair it’s not fair not fair at all Which version will I be today? I don’t know Whichever way the wind will blow But the world doesn’t care about the superficial squabbles of man But we’re using her to dig us out every time that we can And we fight everyone to get a slightly bigger piece of the pie But it’s not ours it’s not ours it’s not ours it’s not yours or mine Can the people ever live in peace you know that I don’t know Whichever way the wind will blow And the earth still turns and us people don’t learn from mistakes But we’re gonna have change our tune for everybody’s sakes And whichever version comes to the show is gonna have to see That this is bigger than bigger than bigger than you or me Does humanity deserve it’s place you know that I don’t know Whichever way the wind will blow

about

This EP tells the story of 2020. It begins on an optimistic note before the pandemic with Little Moments and progresses with Pretty Car, about the quiet stillness of the first lockdown in the UK. Gradually, through the year, my thoughts were dominated by the need for society to change our relationship with the World and all of the living things on it. This is reflected on the final two tracks of the EP.
The tracks were recorded entirely in lockdown with collaboration using dropbox.
All songs were mixed and mastered by the ever patient and wonderful Neil Kennedy.
